Giuseppe Garofano



Born in Abruzzo but grown up in Milan, Giuseppe Garofano graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1968 and then got a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University.


After some important experiences in the financial sector, he began a long career in the Montedison Group, that led him to hold both the roles of Chairman and CEO, from 1990 to 1992.


From 1993 to 1995 he worked as a freelance company consultant and in 1996 he founded the consulting firm IBI SpA - later merged into Alerion S.p.A. - where he held the role of Vice President.


From 2003 to 2014 he worked first as Chief Operating Officer and then as Vice President of Reno De’ Medici S.p.A.


Today Giuseppe Garofano is President of RCR Cristalleria Italiana S.p.A., Industria e Innovazione S.p.A and Manucor S.p.A. He also is member of CBM S.p.A., Autostrada Torino Milano S.p.A. and Fondazione Casa della Carità BOD.


Within Miroglio Group, Garofano is member of Miroglio S.p.A and Miroglio Textile s.r.l. BOD.
