He is Chairman of Sinterama S.p.A., the European leaders in the production of polyester yarn, having been its CEO until 2016. Formerly he was the founder of Tespiana S.p.A., which merged with Sinterama in 1989.
Chairman of the industrial logistics automation systems and electronics company Incas S.p.A., founded in 1981 with Ermanno Rondi, he is founder and President of the Biella Industry Literature Award, sponsored by Città Studi Biella.
He is a member of the Boards of Lanificio Vitale Barberis Canonico, Città Studi in Biella, the European Textile and Apparel Association Euratex representing the European Man-Made Fibres Association Cirfs, and the Health and Textile Association founded in 2001.
He was CEO and Managing Director of Trevira Holding GmbH from 2011 to 2014.
Born in 1948, he is married with one daughter and lives in Biella. A mountain enthusiast.
